Blowing In The Wind
If you want to experience the true ‘effect of global warming’ you only have to follow your nose…
And if you do not want to have that feeling of just wanting to stay in bed all day, learn what types of allergies are worse in your area at www.weather.com or www.pollen.com, www.aaaai.org (click link pollen counts).
Thirty-six million people living in America now suffer from allergies, and that is twice what was a few years ago, according to statistics from the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology.
They say that the hotter the Earth’s temperature is the worse problems are with pollen allergies, ragweed, and a host of other respiratory problems.
What I learned from my immunologist doctor about the subject:
- Pollen is very intense between 6-10 pm and 4-7 pm.
- The story that the rain washes the pollen away and is a myth.
- A weak drizzle is worse, because it spreads the pollen further.
Like to do gardening? Use a mask between 10 am until 2 pm (doctors suggestion).
- Pollen and other allergens are in our hair and skin (especially hair), when you go to sleep, you transfer it to the pillow, placing it in direct contact with your nose and eyes.
SOLUTION: take a bath before going to bed and clean out your nose, preferably with neti pots, which you can purchase at any Wallgreens, CVS.

CLEAN THE AIR – install a more powerful filter in your air conditioner and check the filter every two weeks.
Leave your system’s fan running 24/7 during peak allergy season… I never thought of this before.
The new website of the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology has an easy test to gauge how severe your allergies are and suggestions to make you feel better.

Pseudoephedrine is more effective than phenylephrine for allergies. You must show an ID card to the pharmacist and sign a log, but it’s worth it because it works better. The first one is not on the shelves of pharmacies, since it can be used as a drug and sold illegally. Talk to the pharmacist.
If you have hives (urticaria) like me because of allergies, take a bath with corn strach (1/2 cup cornstarch) and baking soda (1/2 cup sodium bicarbonate). It gives instant relief! Tested and proven.
My sister Joanne, introduced me to a spray that’s GREAT not only for urticaria (hives) as well as relief for poison oak and ivy: 2 sprays in the mouth and it’s homeopathic. It’s called RHUS TOXICODENDRON 30c. It can be easily found in health food stores.
The POI you buy at http://www.liddell.net/# and I think they may have it at www.vitacost.com where we buy all our vitamins and natural products.
