The 8 Most Dangerous
Share the yard and a bed with your pet is alright and considered normal, but below is a list of the 8 most dangerous ‘foods’ that you should keep away from your animals.
And if you suspect that your pet ate anything from the list below, call your vet urgently. If in America the ASPCA (Center for Animal Poison Control) 888-426-4435
1 - CHOCOLATE - stimulates the nervous system and heart, and if they can get to it they will overeat.
2 – GRAPES – RAISINS – dangerous for the kidneys.
3 – ONIONS, GARLIC – affects blood cells and causes anemia.
4 – XYLITOL - the sugar free gum. Keep gum out of their reach because it increases insulin, considerably reducing blood pressure.
5 – ALCOHOLIC DRINKS - seems obvious, doesn’t it… affects the nervous system.
6 – AVOCADO – ‘persin’ damages the heart muscle. Birds are specially sensitive!
7 - MACADAMIA NUTS – increases the body temperature of the animal, and causes problems with the nerves and muscles
8 – RAW DOUGH (cookies, etc..) – Causes gases in the digestive system, causing alcohol poisoning.
