A great friend, who sold cars in Houston for 30 years, gave us this wise counsel, several years ago… it’s always worked.

Now I’ve found it in Consumer Reports Magazine:

Always buy a car in the middle of the week and at the end of the month (there are fewer customers and vendors feel pressured to meet their monthly quotas).

And remember: the price tag on the vehicle, is often deception. Many cars have hidden discounts.

Discover where they are at www.consumerreports.org.

It costs $6 for the information, but you’ll save at least 5 percent – which would be $1,000 a car for costing $20,000.
