Lost Subject

Normally I’m an optimistic person.

I have my husband, my daughter, my dogs… they all make me laugh or at least smile just thinking about them…

But I also don’t wake up laughing every day and never worry about nothing… absolutely not!

Besides them, we have good health, peace and much love…

It must be my nature to face each day believing and thinking the following:

♥ The people get better, not worse.

The world is still good. Yes, it has a lot of cruelty in it, a lot of suffering, but there is a lot of decency and kindness around.

♥ Not everything is tragedy. There are real tragedies, real suffering, too.

Being orphaned at 16 years, I’ve gone through lots of it. Believe me.

Besides the tragedies, there are still those “little things” that bother us, upset us, irritate us.

Ahhh… It’s best to let those little things go… They are so small.

♥ Life is a gift diary. Yes, anything can happen. Death, illness, pain and tragic losses…

♥ Every day has something in store for you.

Well, armed with these 3 little parts of my armor, I still find myself cussing my dogs, who leave little ‘flowers’ of mud on the floor… But I soon remember that I was my own fault. I forgot to clean their paws.

If you’re angry about something, do the following: take a look at yourself. It’s very hard to stay angry at yourself for very long.

Ah, what was it that I was talking about?

Special Thursday

On this special Thanksgiving Thursday…

“Rest and be thankful …” (W.Wordsworth)

Jack inBed

Be happy with what you have now, but keep fighting for what you want to be tomorrow…

And also… do not miss the day with no friction, as you could turn  it into ‘momentum’.

And think with me…

I’m sure that not even the family of Jesus Christ was perfect.

And being who He was…

He did not try to control the behavior of his family (but also did not let anyone control him).

He never used his authority to get others to agree with him…

He wasn’t defeated when they insulted him…

And he didn’t make it his mission to please anyone.

OK!

Trading Places

Check out these swap places online.

Something that many people that are doing…

ZWAGGLE.COM

When you donate gently used children’s items you receive “Zoints” you can use for your needs.

SWAPACE.COM

You can exchange items, (such as a baby carrier) for services (like private lessons) and vice versa.

They also have a section for buying, selling, as well as giving.

SWAPT.COM

They say they do not swap your husband, your mother, your cat, those things stored in boxes under the bed and that chair in green with orange from the 70′s that’s in your basement.

SWAPTREE.COM

Uses the same system of EBAY to encourage good behavior from users. If you see a user who does not have a good report of behavior, you refuse to trade with him. Here you can exchange books, CDs, DVDs, video games.

Of course, in any business you have to be very careful with dishonest people.

NEIGHBORROW.COM

This site lets you borrow an item, say an electric drill to mount a shelf or something, then you return it or pass it on to the next user.

For any tool below a value of $ 25, there is no charge, above that value they have several plans.

I love sharing sites… But of course, we must all continue to buy, because after all, money was invented… for some reason.

Yumminess

I just luuuuuuve quick-n-easy!

PEANUT BUTTER CHOCOLATE TRUFFLES:

Peanut ButterChocolateBalls

Mix 1 / 2 cup peanut butter (crunchy or smooth), 1 / 3 cup honey and 1 cup of powdered milk. ”

Make small balls with wet hands, put in refrigerator overnight (or in freezer to harden the balls).

Melt 6 oz. of chocolate and dip the balls (use a toothpick or fork).

If you want you can make drawings or write with leftover chocolate.

Now the variations you can use, or of course whatever you like.

♥ granola, crumbled wafers, white chocolate, corn flakes, dried fruit, Rice Crispies, or…

Mixed Nuts! Coconut!

peanut butterchocnuts

If you use granola or “Wheaties”, do not open the bag of cereal, just make a little hole to ventilate and pass a rolling pin on top to  grind it. This saves you work, believe me. You can use colored toothpicks to dip the chocolate and leave the it right there as part of your truffles.

If there is no chocolate in heaven, I will not…
