After becoming famous all over the world, they all met for the first time!

We’re talking about, the most popular musical of all time: The Sound of Music! And what happened to each of the actors in this movie.

Do you remember Gretl?

Kym Karath (Gretl), went to university, moved to Paris, was a model, married Philip Equibec, has a son and now is setting up her own show in Los Angeles.

Debbie Turner (Marta), was a professional skiier, got married, has four daughters, studied interior design and opened her own business of events and flowers in Minneapolis (MN).

After working in the television series Lost in Space Angela Cartwright (Brigitta) got married, has two children, is a writer, loves photography, designs clothes and jewelery.

Duane Chase (Kurt), got his MA in Geology and now creates software for geologists in Seattle, where he lives with his wife Pietra.

Heather Menzies Urich (Louiza), did a film in Hawaii, plays on Broadway, and several TV shows. At 73 she tried to change her image posing nude for Playboy. Married actor Robert Urich, has two children and currently is dedicated to a foundation on behalf of her husband, who died recently.

Nicholas Hammond (Friedrich) was the main actor in the original movie “Spiderman”, did some TV shows, some movies and when he visited Australia in his 80′s, fell in love with the country, and stayed there where he directs, acts and creates film scripts.

Charmian Carr (Liezl), met Jay Brent, married, has two daughters, acted in some films, but decided to leave show business to become a mother. She is now a decorator, after writing two books about the experience of working in the Sound of Music.

Julie Andrews for 30 years has worked as an actress and is a best selling author of over 30 children’s books.

Considered one of the best actors in the world, with over 100 films. Christopher Plummer (Captain Von Trapp) received an Oscar for the main character in the movie”, Last Station”, personifying Leo Tolstoy (a movie that passionately I loved!).

Interesting isn’t it? The path of life is so unpredictable that no one can write one’s autobiography in advance.

…that vegan diet?

It can be one of the best ways to eat… if you don’t include a lot of French fries, donuts and candy!

Also because it doesn’t require whole foods.

But if you choose foods that came from plants, vegetables, fruits, whole grains, beans, lentils, nuts and seeds, you get enough vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, fiber and healthy oils (of course, always limiting calories, salt, sugar and harmful fats).

You can get the protein from soy and grains combined with beans, nuts and seeds.

The benefits of this diet exceed even your health because they affect the health of the planet. Eating plants instead of feeding animals with plants and eating animals… It makes it much better use of the land and water and produces less pollution.

Eating less meat means fewer animals subjected to terrible abuse in factory farms.

Even if you don’t want to take the plunge into vegan-ism, it is worth repeating: a plant-based diet is good for your health …

Or perhaps you might consider a Mediterranean diet that includes seafood, some meat and milk… and that is linked to a longer life, reduces the risk of cancer and heart disease.

While Mr.Slipper Socks Man, out in the cold, filled up the car…

I looked at this from the inside:

And I remembered the old story of Moses and his famous bush …

Having nothing to do, my thoughts continued…

“Did God, at that time, do some kind of ‘lazer surgery’, in the eyes of Moses …?”

Because what he became so famous for seeing might have been there all along!

Just seeing all that, with ‘new eyes’ Moses was so surprised by glory of God , the bush on the mountain ‘burned’ with so much splendor!”

You can laugh at me…

But that’s what I thought about with nothing to do, inside the car.

Soon afterwards, on the way to the Bike Barn on this cold and beautiful Sunday after Christmas…

These guys were waiting at the stop light…

What…???

Vultures sunning themselves in the median!?

Once in a while, early in the morning, on the way to yoga class, I would see one or two at Canada St.

But never like this.

Each day, each moment seems to be so full of unexpected and wonderful scenes like these, that we may not need eye surgery.

Just tune in.

It seems that these ‘sacred moments’, arrive daily, if we have eyes to see them.

Seeing them is even difficult to contain so much joy in ♥♥♥♥…..

But a sacred moment with vultures …???

Why not? Birds are very useful! They do a job nobody wants to do.

Most people do not care in ‘the least’ about the humble and tiny things in life… until they are covered by some kind of darkness. Then, suddenly, tiny little things, are dramatic.
