Feels Right…

Having helpers in cleaning …

When I have my ‘not so uncommon’ OCD moments around the house… (Almost every day?)

Even though I am always 100% happy cleaning…

‘Happy’ because I can always count on the help of my ‘brigade of slaves that don’t complain’. ;-) My robots.

Which I greatly recommend…

Because when… laziness sets in I just lie on the bed while they clean underneath it, the cabinets, sofas, and anywhere they can go.

You know how it is… ‘OCDism’ is a personality trait that is very inconsistent… ;-)

But what I’m showing here is not ostentation, it’s a necessity for those who do not have help with the housework.

As most of you know: only the wealthy have cleaning ladies in America.

Besides that, I always remember seeing myself organizing things in the house before the cleaning lady arrived, otherwise I would not find anything afterwards.

Cleaning ladies are always hiding things from you. ;-)

Where is it?

A recent American study is saying: adults who cycle 3 hours a week are 46% less likely to gain weight!

Try to do a few things in your town riding your bike or find some of the 30,000 miles in this country of bike paths, hiking trails, equestrian trails, racing, including interactive maps, trail descriptions, photos, reviews and more at:

And another thought… Einstein got the inspiration for the theory of relativity while pedaling. Did you know that?

Speaking of which…

Where’s my bike? ;-)

Let a man find himself, in distinction from others, on top of two wheels with a chain-at least in a poor country like Russia-and his vanity begins to swell out like his tyres. In America it takes an automobile to produce this effect.

After a Storm

If you were forced to leave your house or did so voluntarily, when a hurricane was coming, know that:

→ You will not be allowed to enter the house, if you do not have proof of residence and valid identification.

→ You should enter your house with caution.

→ You should not light a match until you are absolutely sure that there is no gas leak.

→ You should avoid fallen utility wires hanging.

→ If your house was flooded, beware of snakes, insects and animals that may be come looking for a higher place.

→ If a power outage occurs, turn off all electrical appliances and equipment with motors. This will prevent any damage when it returns.

→ It is safer to use lanterns than candles.

→ You should avoid walking around looking at what happened to the neighborhood. Stay home, because it hinders the work of local authorities’ emergency response and recovery.

Safety (and caution) is first aid to the uninjured.(Unknown)

Work in Movies in Texas

There are dozens of open positions for those who want to work in films and TV shows in Texas. You can be part of the audience of a game, a patriotic parade…

“True Grit” with Jeff Bridges was done here.

And anyone can be a candidate! The only thing they need is to find people that fit the vision necessary to ‘tell the story or history …

And every scene in any movie has to be different.

HOW TO: many major film projects, put ads in the “Texas Film Commission’s” web site (below) or announce casting calls in newspapers, radio shows, Craigslist and Facebook.

Each production company details how to be considered for the type of role (usually only appears in person or sends photos).

Some candidates only send photos from a cell phone (they need to see what you look like).

SO IS YOUR GLAMOUR: spend all day in a set, possibly very close to your favorite actor, or hopefully, be chosen as “the star stand-in” or even a for a speaking role.

RULES: extras have to sign agreements for setting standards (no cameras or talking to celebrities).

SALARY: most extras make $75 – $100 per day plus meals. They are 8 hours of work and they pay overtime.

Low-budget movies, offer only meals, while the most famous can pay up to $300 per day.

TIP: If you are chosen be on the set half an hour early! And be prepared to redo scenes.
