Spread What You Are
Every time I walk into my kitchen, even though I’m alone I know I’m not alone.
Wether we realize it or not, none of us is.
It is the place that we often bring family and friends… and the food is not merely ‘food’… It turns into ‘fellowship’ and becomes who we are and who we want to be through what we serve.
I was mesmerized for a long time, with SOO MANY options in margarine in the supermarket. Mesmerized because the margarines all say ‘I have GREAT taste, less saturated fat, less cholesterol and fewer calories.’
The more alternatives, the more difficult the choice.

I did my study and I tried them all.
My veredict and the truths about those spreads:
→ BENECOL – 70 cal. 8 g. fat, saturated fat 1. It has plant sterols (naturally extracted and they help lower cholesterol)-Good consistency and deliciously like butter.
→ FLEISCHMANN’S Unsalted. – 60 cal. 7 g. fat and saturated fat one. Good choice if you need to cut out or lower salt intake. Very good and I didn’t taste a lack of salt.
→ SMART BALANCE Light Extra Virgin Olive Oil – 50 cal. 5 g. fat and 1.5 saturated fat. This margarine gives you 50% of the recommended vitamin D. daily. It has a rich flavor.
→ Soy Free EARTH BALANCE -100 cal. 11g. fat and 3.5 saturated fat. It has no soy and is gluten free and without milk. Super creamy texture, I like it… but it is high in fat.
