Bees communicate with other bees across the distance, direction, quality and quantity of a food source and still make a very unique dance!

In addition, 1/3 of the world’s food depends on them!

Many fruits, vegetables and flowers, survive because of the tireless work of these little insects.

But millions of them are fading, disappearing and dying all around the globe…

In many countries.

As you read this, 70% of the world’s bees have disappeared (since 2006).

This means that soon we will not have those delicious and healthy foods on our plates.

You know why?

A disease called Colony Collapse Disorder (CCD).

You may not have heard of CCD, but you will hear about it, especially if we just sit back and do nothing.

“If the bees disappear from the earth, man will have no more than four years to live.” (Einstein)

They are one of the few animals that produce food for us and depend on how we manage and protect the world.

It’s not just a matter of honey and beautiful little flowers.

That fruit on your cereal, your orange juice, everything is the result of honeybee pollination.

Furthermore, imagine what an orange will cost!

Talk about global devastation!

Scientists attribute this global tragedy to the fact that they get their food from plants that carry systemic insecticides.

In France, beekeepers and people went to the streets protesting until that poison was banned (1 year later the bees returned).

And what can we do?

In addition to writing to politicians responsible for their city, state, country… open your mouth in the media. (They respect that.)

Each one plant flowers and food to eat in your available space without this insecticide.

People in apartments do. In the windows!

Put water outside on hot days. Yes, bees have also are thristy sometimes (like birds).

Did you know that there are now bees for rent?

On farms where they are gone, or are scarce, truckloads of bees are rented from across the country.

Others rent bees from Australia.

Well, I hope many of you give some good bee stings to those who have the power to change this situation…

And I’m here with the only thing that makes honey without flowers: my hope on this.

And please be sure to pass this information along.

The extinction of the honeybee would be more catastrophic than global warming.
