Now Is Time For

The right time to hire someone, some kind of service is when the demand is not that big.

In other words this means: DISCOUNT, PROMOTION, BARGAINS.

For example:

Now, autumn winter … it’s time to make repairs outside the home, but …

In spring and summer, is when you hire people to do work inside your home.

Now is the time to pay attention to the trees, pruning etc..

Now is the time to take a lawn mower for maintenance (once spring comes and you have to use it weekly).

Now is the time to get married! Yes, from November to April it is cheaper to get married.

And you can haggle on the honeymoon too!

Business hotels give discounts on weekends, and resorts and retreats need tourism in the middle of the week.

Hold your Fire

This fall and winter do not rush to turn your fireplace …

Over time,  carbon-based residue called “creosote,” can build up in the flue and ignite …

Or maybe other obstructions in the chimney (nest of any animal ?)

And these obstructions can cause fatal damage.

Carbon monoxide is a gaseous by-product of combustion and it comes back into the house if the chimney is blocked.

To find a licensed chimney inspector, put your ZIP CODE on this site: www.csia.org

My fireplace  is lit all year round, and I solve this problem like this:;-)

Pine Tactics

Assuming that you will have a real Christmas tree:

This is the best way to remember to keep it hydrated …

‘Camouflaging’ a bottle of water, and whenever possible, check whether it needs to be watered …

After all they are really expensive, and if they become dry, they start dropping needles giving us more work …

Nobody I know wants that, much less at the end of the year.

Also a dry tree in the house can easily catch fire with all the lights on top.

Do not forget to cut the bottom a little bit before putting it in the pot with soil (in the next 48 hours it will soak up lots of liquid.

If you’re in a hurry, there are sites that sell what they bought from  large retailers which are the so-called ‘liquidators sites’, such as www.nobetterdeal.com

If you become a “Fan” on Facebook of your favorite store or their favorite brands, many of them advertise with exclusive offers. The same is true with Twitter and its followers.
