Why You Need

The whole world knows:

Here in Houston, we have the largest and best equipped medical center in the world, and it was from there that I discovered the following …

Doctor and Professor Bharay Aggarwal Phd from the “MD Anderson Cancer Center,”  in Houston, says the following:

“We need TURMERIC (curcumin), because “it seems to be as effective as some drugs for certain conditions.” Such as:

Reducing allergy symptoms. (Yes!)

→ Avoiding colds

Easing headaches.

Acting as a decongestant.

→ Reducing inflammations. (Dr. Moosa info.)

Another seed that our body wants, he says, “CUMIN” (cominho), rich in vitamin A and C which help fight off sinus infections and colds.”

PEPPERMINT is another, “anti-inflammatory herb, that soothes sore throats, reduces coughs and cold congestion. (He recommends tea, not cough drops and mix into yogurt and chutney).

Remembering

Christmas did not come from any store, the meaning of it  it’s MUCH MUCH MORE …

But when we give each other gifts in His name, let us remember that He has given us the sun and the moon and the stars and the earth with its forests and mountains and oceans and ALL that lives and move upon them. He has given us all green things and everything that blossoms and bear fruit and all that we quarrel about and all that we have misused…And to save us from our foolishness, from all our sins, He came down to earth and gave Himself.

Emotions

While a majority of men think that the season of Christmas is the perfect season to relax,

Women are usually the ones to handle the responsibilities associated with this date and experience a major jump in stress.

Feeling a little ’down’  these days, there are easy options to get out of this mood.

One is to take a little vacation from social sites.

Oh my! The first thing I said was against myself! (Fans be sure to visit my Facebook!).

Haven’t you noticed, on social sites, our friends usually emphasize triunphs and minimize disappointments?

Of course, this only reinforces a human tendency to overestimate the happiness of others!

Having the impression that we are the only ones that couldn’t lock down fabulous plans or even find the perfect Christmas gifts. Blah, blah, blah ….

If you can’t give yourself a break from social media, keep your friends’ victory posts in perspective.

”…Odds are that your friends are experiencing the same challenges you are…”

Outside Facebook, altruism works wonderfully!

Helping someone at this holiday time raises levels of dopamine.

One can also think (and write) about everything one’s done and not has left undone.

Then there is one more thing… A delightful suggestion: a cup of hot cocoa… ;-)

A super soothing drink which helps to keep blood pressure steady when stress mounts (because of a compound called “epicatechin”!)

But don’t make your cup too creamy because the body won’t absolve ”epicatechin”  well and it won’t work.

The pleasure of everything you read is doubled when you pass it on. SHARE this, please.

Pegasus

I got a lump in my throat Saturday when I saw this supreme horse in Kemah.

I’ll call him Pegasus.

Because there are no words big enough to describe such a noble creature, not only a myth, but history and heart.

After all, he brought freedom to mankind.

And for America: heritage and culture… things heroic, hard work, rodeos and cowboys.

Carried pioneers and explorers; helped establish cattle ranches.

Herding cattle to market, and move the herd moved to pasture.

And if you look at these animals in a pasture, they do not seem to be the owners of the territory?

Even not being owners of anything …??

That’s the way they seem to me.

Next time I’ll bring carrots and apples.

So it seems even pampered courtesan. ;-)

The”Pegasus” are in the arenas, farms, forests, parks, …

Take the police patrolling the streets (unfortunately carry SUPER heavy carts … :-( )

It shatters my heart.

Next time I’ll be sure and not forget the apples and carrots.

I’ll try a quiet and private moment of communion with one of these creatures…

Which to me are breathtaking.

I think having that ‘itch’ to have a horse and having one… forever.

For those who are not in my Facebook, I’ll leave what I posted there:

When we recall Christmas past, generally found that the simplest things – not the BIG things, are those that emit the greatest glow of happiness.
