Separation

No matter where you are, I hope that each one of you had a weekend FULL of gratitude.
Because no matter where you are, you are exactly where you’re supposed to be.

I was very blessed this ”Thanksgiving” with the visit of a wonderful friend.

She came from another state and I haven’t seen her for the last 8 years.

Now I’m trying to concentrate and convince myself of this…

That separation does not mean as much as the time we spend together.

We’ll meet again my friend …

When we are least expecting it, somewhere I will recognize your face and we will no longer say goodbye.

We will meet again. xoxoxo

Poetry of My House

Little HUGE lesson ‘of an OCD’ here trying to learn:

Do not scrub the soul out of house cleaning.

I have to remember that a ‘little clutter’ here and there is more or less like the ‘poetry of our house.”

It’s an ’intimate’ view that not everything is always perfect.

Some dishes in the sink, books stacked beside the bed, things like that…

Everything in his right place, can even give us, (OCDs) a certain satisfaction.

But a room or any ‘live’ ambient shows the opposite of perfection, and exudes comfort and warmth.

Habits and routine have an incredible power to destroy.”

House of Lights

In the stores here in America, from August to December, there is a ‘Festival of ideas for Christmas’ (… plus Halloween and back to school.).

For me there’s nothing more beautiful than using the extra lights from previous years and create something.

You don’t even need snow be beautiful and magical.

“Magical Ball…”

If you put this outside, make sure the lights were made for outdoor use and do not use more than the recommended number of lights. Nobody wants an explosion or fire. Or use battery or solar power.

I hate exposed wires, that’s why I try to use a long extension and hide it here and there with whatever is possible.

These glasses (cake cover) are widely available at Thrifty Stores, cheap cheap, and the pine cones you might find for free walking in the park.

Can you believe Christmas is coming again? And I did not turn off the lights in my fireplace all year?

Forget it

Autumn is all about letting go…

Leave all our agitation on the ground, on earth as well as the leaves.

Watch: flowers shed seeds in the wind. Pumpkins loosen their ties as the vines mature.

This is the time for us ‘gardeners’ also to let go…

Because once the frost comes we remember (or should) that we are not ‘in charge of everything’.

And how do you let go??

Very Simple:by laughing at ourselves, our mistakes, and at least trying not to repeat them.

I think you understand me.

Everyone should take time to sit down and watch ‘the leaves turn”.

Just watch, learn and let it go…
