Graduation

Every time I think I’m getting smarter and ‘know it all’, I realize that I just did something stupid.

My mom always tells me:” there are three types of dogs in the world: those who don’t know, and don’t know they don’t know; those who don’t know and do know they don’t know; and those who know and know how much they still don’t know.

Heavy stuff, I know. ;-)

I think I’ve finally graduated from the don’t-knows that don’t know to the don’t-know. ;-)

Message from my mom:

Every year thousands of dogs are abandoned in shelters for behavioral problems. And these are things that can be corrected with basic training. Wonderful animals are being killed because of lack of training. If you can not take your animal for this type of course, buy the DVD’s Cesar Millan on EBAY, Amazon and be a better leader of your pack. Or ask your local library, all for FREE.

Bye For Now

What do you most value in your friends?

Their continued existence.

So I met Mary Seibert, I think I fell in love with her.
It was like I knew her for many years, for a long time, as if she were an older sister a dear friend. She was type of person you can say anything to, no matter how bad, and they still love you because they know who you really are.
I’ll always love her. All my life.

Tell your friend that in his death, a part of you dies and goes with him. Wherever he goes, you also go. He will not be alone.

I just love you Mary Seibert. You gave me lots of love, your attencion and our dear Toby.

On Top Of The Ice

With the cold weather that has arrived, or is coming… many people are using products to melt snow and keep sidewalks and driveways free of falls on the ice.

If you think you need to buy this type of product, make sure you buy one safe for pets as well.

After all they walk around just like you.

Probably the highway department does not use what is safest for them, they use salt that can cause irritation and chemical burns on their feet, or if they lick them.

There is a wax that you can put on their paws before going out to walk, but be sure to clean them with warm water when you’re back home.

Of course you can use boots on your animals, but they must be the kind that will not cause blisters, like you wearing new shoes!

Or go slowly getting used to using, as my vet said.

You can also throw bird seeds on top of snow, so no one slips in front of your house.

And using the shovel, do it as soon the snow stops falling, before it turns into ice.

Do you know the signs that your pet is too cold?

They are: tremors, lethargy, slow breathing and muscle stiffness.

If so, heat it with a blanket, hot packs and a hair dryer until it returns to normal behavior.

And of course, bring them inside the house.

If the situation ‘seems’ a little more serious call your veterinarian.
